Holmes Jr. High Builders Club takes top honors in Ca-Nev-Ha

District Competitions....and for the second year in a row our Greater Davis

Sponsored Youth won the "Distinguished Club Award" out of over ninety Builders

Clubs in California, Nevada, and Hawaii. Accolades, applause, congratulations,

and gentle back patting for Kiwanian Advisor Carol for her time, energy,

and usual "all out" individual effort in guiding our youth to be the best. Eighth

grader Alex took top honors in the Speech Contest videotaped at a

recent Greater Davis noontime Kiwanis meeting. Another eighth grader Cynthia

garnered second place in the Essay Contest and the Holmes Minuteindividuals

as a club won first place in the Scrapbook Competition. The Minutemen,

Minutewomen, and Minutepersons in our Builders Club not only took top three

states honors this year, but also captured this same "The Best in the West"

competitions last year. Can you say "Carol and Builders Club Dynasty?"
