Held in June in St. Louis, Missouri, the following participated in the election of Nelson Tucker from CNH as the "newly elected Vice-President/Treasurer Designate of Kiwanis International:" LtG Gene & Fran, Maria, Terry, and Ralph all from Greater Sacramento-American River, Peggy from Davis, and Marv from Woodland. In the next few years it will be exciting to see Nelson proceed through the chairs and then become President of Kiwanis International !!! Congratulations to all of the above for representing us at the convention.
* PAST LTG JACK, 1929-2004... Jack was the Division 7 Lt. Governor for the year 1959. Following a year long illness with lung cancer, Jack died May 14, 2004.

"KEY CLUB MC CLATCHY HIGH (Apr.) - There were 17 McClatchy High Key Clubbers who attended the District Convention in Sacramento. Division 7 Key Clubers (McClatchy, Florin, Kennedy, Davis, Valley High, Sacramento and Laguna Creek) won first place in the Division Spirit Contest for their unified display of spirit on the first day and Opening Session of the Convention. THIENVINH, the current Key ClubPresident at McClatchy, is the new Lt. Govenor for the 2004-2005 year." KFH President Gary had reported at the Division 7 March 18 Meeting that all was in readiness to start this major project in Divisions 7 & 44. Surely this will continue to be a major project for all of our clubs in both divisions. Each of our leaders in command of guiding us in the building of the new house are to be commended, over and over again. When you see any of the directors and those who diligently work at the house, as well as so many others who participate at the ARCO concessions and other fund raising events, be sure to give each of them your thanks for a job so "well being done!" For so many Kiwanians, take thanks... give yourself a pat on the back as you strive in your many efforts to further the building of the new house. Congratulations to all Kiwanians throughout the Cal-Nev-Ha District who give such outstanding support to the KFH. The new house is going to be built this year !!! At the Annual Meeting for Division 7 on March 18 all ten clubs unanimously elected Bob & Dan to lead our Division 7 in the coming year. Bob was nominated by Red Francisco (Davis) with a second by Bob (Greater Sacramento American River). Mac (Sacramento) nominated Dan with Doris (Sacramento) giving the second. Both candidates gave the membership an excellent overview of some of their ideas, and particularly their enthusiasm to lead our division. Everyone was excited to be assured of continuing excellence in leadership for the clubs in our division. Congratulations again Bob & Dan. The members of our clubs in Division 7 will whole heartedly support you both in every way possible. Cheers !!!* DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARDS WERE PRESENTED during the Governor's visit on March 13, to a number of Kiwanians in Division 7 who have excelled in their participation and leadership throughout their many years in Kiwanis. Congratulations to each Kiwanian for this outstanding achievement... Walt, Davis; Don, Greater Davis; Rod , Greater Sacramento American River; Pat , West Sacramento; and Claudia, Woodland... A special HOPE OF AMERICA AWARD was presented to Mikayo for her outstanding leadership and scholarship. Mikayo is the incoming Scribe of the Key Club at C. K. McClatchy High School in Sacramento. Cal-Nev-Ha District Governor Les Wixon made the presentations.

Sacramento, President Dan & Secretary Doris... West Sacramento, President Pat & Secretary John... Award materials have been received and will soon be presented to each club at one of their regular meetings. Congratulations all !!!
