* SACRAMENTO KIWANIS CLUB HONORS LEADERS AND ATHLETES IN THE FELLOWSHIP OF CHRISTIAN ATHLETES... At a recent regular meeting, Kiwanian Tom led a program of reports on the FCA by several participants including Kiwanian Ray from the Rocklin Club. The FCA held a very successful camp in Santa Barbara this summer. The FCA has existed for over 40 years. This year there were six Kiwanis Clubs in our area that supported the FCA.

Training was provided by Past Lt. Governor from Division 8, Susan...* DOWN EAST, THE ANNUAL LOBSTER FEAST IN SUPPORT OF THE KIWANIS FAMILY HOUSE !!! Another successful fund raiser was held on July 16 sponsored by the KFH of Sacramento Kiwanis Club in Division 7. The goal of this major event was to raise substantial funds toward the club's annual commitment of providing $10,000 for the Kiwanis Family House.
* THE GREATER COLFAX KIWANIS CLUB HONORED RED FRANCISCO BY DEDICATING THEIR FIRST ANNUAL KIDDIES PARADE ON INDEPENDANCE DAY WEEKEND TO RED !!! Club President Melba, husband Ken, and their fellow Kiwanians took the idea of having a Kiddie Parade from the event that Red Francisco of the Davis Kiwanis Club had led for more than forty (40 +) years in Davis.
* A MEMORIAL FOR RED FRANCISCO ON MEMORIAL DAY, MAY 30... A dedication of the flying of an American Flag on a newly erected flag pole in downtown Davis at the SP Railroad Station now honors Mr. Kiwanis, Red Francisco, "...the most patriotic American we have ever met." The event was organizaed and planned by the Kiwanis Club of Davis. Everyone who knew Red commend President Mike and Past President Mike for their leadership to have made this project possible.
* KIWANIS PRAYER BREAKFAST ON MAY 26... The Kiwanis Club of Sacramento organized an inspiring program to enhance everyone's spiritual aims. The event was held at The Salvation Army Headquaters in Sacramento.

Sponsored by Kiwanis Clubs in Divisions 7 & 44: East Sacramento-Midtown, Davis, Sunrise-Citrus Heights, and Sacramento Suburban.* A VERY SPECIAL EVENT WAS HELD AT THE SACRAMENTO KIWANIS CLUB ON APRIL 12... Key Club members from Sacramento High School, Kiwanians from Divisions 7 and 44, and guests enjoyed a celebration of the 80th year of Key Club, started at Sacramento High School in 1925 by the Kiwanis Club of Sacramento ! A highlight was an award to Kevin Johnson who has given outstanding support for the Key Club and Sacramento High School.
* E. PARKER SMITH, CAL-NEV-HA DISTRICT SECRETARY EMERITUS, DIED ON TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 1... Parker was 90 years of age. He was a member of the Sacramento Suburban Kiwanis Club. In their club bulletin this week, genuine feelings, typically from all who knew and respected this great Kiwanian: "... His wife, Blendine and his family are in our prayers and thoughts. Parker was a dedicated Kiwanian and a good friend... a gracious and dedicated man who sure loved Kiwanis and set a wonderful example for us all."
